In December 2023, after a tornado devastated our building, my wife and I slept on an air mattress inside Faye’s each night while spending our days watching YouTube videos to learn how to rebuild. With little prior experience, we were driven by a deep desire to create something meaningful for our community.
This space is named in honor of my great-grandmother, Gussie Faye Davis Nix, a trailblazing educator and fierce community advocate who lived by strong principles. When you experience Gussie “Faye’s Fusion” — our commitment to giving back and employing people with challenging backgrounds — it reflects her enduring legacy. We love and miss you, and we’re keeping Faye’s rocking in your honor.
